MORNING TIMES

Some mornings I awake
     with awe and anticipation.
Some mornings the to dos
rush in to fill the moment
Most mornings have energy
     to greet the unknown.

Then there are some mornings
when the awe and anticipation
     just isn't there.
There are some mornings
when any to do is rejected!
There is that infrequent morning
     of disconnection
A wandering of the mind and
a feeling of lost in the forest.

I gaze out the window and there
     alights a small brown bird.

Just lighten up dear friend.
     Just lighten up!
