BACK
TO NINE
Wish I was a bird,
would flap my wings,
and touch the skies
Wish I could swim,
would embrace the sea's depth
and feel her rippling waves
Wish I could sing
with glitz, glam and bling,
would wing and sing songs of love
Wish I could turn back hands of rhythms
to when pampered in mannered culture,
would speak how baby-nurtured I was treated
I
wish I could roll back all of time
to when I was bubbling nine…
A time, so truly fine.
