VICTORY

It has taken years,
but finally, Morninglory,
you have triumphed

running over tree stump,
daisy, gardenia, cypress,
up the amber maple

and down stone wall to
geraniums red and across
the rocky golden path....

You reach everywhere
like a woman finally
taking off, leaping out

over the world....
