UNVEILING NATURE'S WONDERS
Each time I see ants crossing a
path
or each time I watch a heron settle
alongside pond waters, and every
chance I have to notice an eagle or
hawk alight from tall pines I can’t
help but look forward to feeling
there are reasons for breathing
reasons for being, to having more
and more reasons for being, for
finding more meaning for living,
appreciating the little things,
the every-day experiences like
hearing an aunt singing a young
cousin to sleep as I listen to her.
There’s watching moonlight in early
evening as it removes shadows from
around trees throughout the yard
or reveals stars hidden from night
viewing letting wonders of nature
softly be uncovered for all to see
such be but some of evening’s miracles.
